海自護衛艦と米第七艦隊旗艦が親善入港

　海上自衛隊の護衛艦「いせ JS Ise DDH-182(19000t)」 と米第７艦隊の旗艦・指揮統制艦「ブルーリッジ USS Blue Ridge LCC-19 (19170t)」が16日、日米親善を目的に東京港・晴海埠頭に寄港した。17日に一般公開される。両艦は停泊中、夜間のライトアップを実施し、18日に晴海埠頭を出港する。ブルーリッジは1970年に就航した揚陸作戦の指揮艦。79年以降は米海軍横須賀基地（神奈川県横須賀市）を母港とし、湾岸戦争にも参加した。東日本大震災の被災地支援に米海軍が展開した「トモダチ作戦」では指揮を担当して、シンガポールから日本への救援物資を搬送するなど活躍した。

Blue Ridge's visit to Tokyo is an outward demonstration of U.S. commitment to the defense of Japan, the strong relationship between the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and will help maintain peace and stability throughout the entire East Asia region.
